Job description

We are rebuilding the veterinary experience from the ground up, making access to care seamless, joyful, and genuinely personal for every pet and their owner.

With beautifully designed clinics and purpose-built technology, we are transforming how veterinary care is accessed and delivered. Our clinics combine modern design with first-class clinical care, creating spaces that vet teams, clients, and pets genuinely want to be in.

Our purpose is simple: healthier, happier pets and vets. We believe in a model that benefits everyone: our clinical teams, our members, our local communities, and our investors. That means competitive compensation, sensible caseloads, genuine career development, and a culture where people feel supported to do their best work.

We are building the vet group of the future. If you share our passion for doing things differently, we would love to hear from you.

Role Overview

You will hold a veterinary nursing degree or equivalent and have demonstrable experience as a registered veterinary nurse. You will be an open, communicative team player who supports the practice's clinical and client care standards. You will be confident working independently and as part of a team, and will demonstrate excellent nursing technique, surgical etiquette, and client communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Nursing
  • Conduct screening procedures including auscultation and sample procurement

  • Monitor and record general anaesthetics accurately and comprehensively

  • Administer treatments as directed by the Veterinary Surgeon

  • Assist veterinarians during invasive and non-invasive procedures

  • Tend to unsettled or anxious patients with care and urgency

  • Prepare and maintain surgical sites and operating theatre standards

  • Disinfect equipment and maintain cleanliness of clinical workspaces to a high standard

  • Monitor and maintain stock levels

Working to the Top of Your Qualification

  • We expect and encourage full utilisation of Schedule 3 of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, which permits RVNs to carry out medical treatment and minor surgery under veterinary direction, including suturing, wound debridement, catheter placement, and other Schedule 3 procedures where you have the skills and confidence

  • Lead and deliver nurse-led clinics, health checks, weight clinics, post-operative rechecks, and chronic disease monitoring consultations

  • Contribute to the development of nursing protocols and share clinical knowledge with the wider team

  • Maintain and develop your clinical skills through CPD, and actively apply new learning within the practice

Nurse Consultations
  • Participate in the nurse consult rota as required

  • Respond to client enquiries via phone and practice communication tools as required

Contributing to Clinic Success
  • Actively contribute to the clinic's reputation by delivering an exceptional client experience at every interaction; a positive review or a returning member starts with you

  • Discuss estimates confidently and transparently with clients, explaining what is included, why it is recommended, and the value of the care being provided; never leave a client uncertain about cost

  • Support the practice's NPS by encouraging satisfied clients to share their experience online and acting on feedback where things could be improved

  • Understand and promote the Creature Comforts membership model, be able to explain its benefits clearly, and support client acquisition and retention

  • Ensure all clinical work is accurately recorded and charged; flag any discrepancies to the clinical or practice team promptly

Team and Culture
  • Record accurate and comprehensive clinical notes
