Job summary

University of Cambridge is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join the Queens Veterinary School Hospital Small Animal Wing on a permanent basis. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment and the ability to work 24/7 on a rotating shift pattern, including nights.

We require at least 12 months post-registration experience, with duties spanning surgical, medical and critical care nursing.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with at least 12 months post-registration experience.
• Ability to cover 24/7 rotating shifts including nights.
• Experience in surgical, medical and critical care nursing.
• Good communication with staff, students and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Small Animal Wing to high standards.
• Support surgical, medical and critical care nursing; training can be provided for critical care procedures.
• Cleaning, hygiene and administration duties linked to inpatient care.
