Overview

About the role: We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to complete our lovely, friendly team of 5 at Delaware Veterinary Group. We currently have 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 1 VCA at our Yeovil small animal practice site in Somerset. The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills, all essential to work well in a team. We are passionate about our client care and the care of their pets.

Responsibilities

The usual nursing duties are expected, including inpatient hospital care, theatre practice and laboratory work. Outpatient nursing care is equally important as we run busy nurse clinics. There is a small amount of reception cover required, especially for holidays.

Working hours

This is a full-time position. Our current team works 37.5 hours per week including weekend hours, but a 40 hour per week contract can be offered if preferred. You will be required to work 1 in 5 Saturday mornings, 1 in 10 inpatient weekends and 1 weekday inpatient duty, with a 1 in 5 Friday inpatient duty. There is no emergency on call, but the rota covers inpatients that are not transferred to our out of hours provider.
