About The Role

We are seeking a confident and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small & friendly team at Blaircourt Pet Clinic which runs alongside our 6 Vet Equine Practice based in the Essex countryside in Woodham Ferrers.

This is a varied nursing role covering all aspects of general practice, including anaesthesia, surgical assistance, and nurse consultations. Being a small clinic this role will suit someone who enjoys building relationships with clients & their animals, as well as working well in a small team & being involved with all aspects of the daily running of the clinic.

About Our Practice

We are based in Woodham Ferrers, situated 6 miles from Chelmsford City Centre, within 30 minutes of Stansted Airport and 30 minutes by train to London. The large affluent city of Chelmsford boasts historic architecture, is surrounded by picturesque countryside and is within easy reach of pretty coastal towns and beaches.

Our practice is well equipped with digital X-ray, In‑house blood facilities, multiparameter monitor & laser therapy. We are a small clinic that takes pride in providing a personal service to our loyal clients.

Working Hours

This is a full‑time role where you will be working 40 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday, (4 days 9am - 5pm & 1 day 10.30am - 6.30pm).

There is no small animal out of hours cover, however our current nursing team (equine & small animal) cover weekends for our Equine Practice on a rota currently 1 in 7. Whilst it would be an advantage, candidates with no equine experience & not able to be part of this rota would be considered as well as part‑time applicants.
