Overview

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Orthopaedics – Taverham Vets, Norwich. Full-time, 38.5 hours per week. Up to £28,000 DOE.

Role Details

Taverham Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our large and supportive team. This role will work alongside our Lead Orthopaedic Nurse, providing hands-on support and helping deliver excellent orthopaedic care. You'll have the opportunity to rotate between first-opinion work and advanced practitioner-led, gaining experience across a wide variety of cases.

  • Rotate between first-opinion and orthopaedic work
  • Support orthopaedic procedures with kit ordering, booking, surgical prep, anaesthesia, and scrubbing in
  • Perform x-rays and CTs as part of the orthopaedic team
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the practice alongside a large, experienced vet and nursing team
Work Schedule
  • 4 day week, 38.5 hours per week
  • 1 in 8 full weekends (Saturday/Sunday 8am-6.20pm)
  • 1 in 8 short weekends (Saturday or Sunday 9am-3pm)
  • Full-time role with all own out-of-hours care supported by a dedicated night team taking transfers/overnight cases
About the Practice

Taverham Veterinary Hospital is a large, first-opinion practice undertaking both first-opinion and referral work. We have a wide range of specialist clinicians, including several certificate-holding ECC clinicians. Our dedicated night team ensures excellent out-of-hours care for transfers and overnight cases from surrounding practices.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a qualified and enthusiastic RVN with a keen interest in orthopaedics. Ideally you will have strong practical skills, a collaborative attitude, and a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care. Previous experience in a referral hospital is preferred but not essential; support and development will be provided.
