Overview

Are you an experienced RVN looking for your next exciting opportunity in a busy, supportive, and progressive hospital? Medivet Dartford 24-Hour is offering a 12-month fixed-term contract where you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional veterinary care around the clock.

Our Dartford hospital is a bustling hub of activity, supporting surrounding Medivet practices with emergency and complex cases. You’ll have access to cutting-edge facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, an orthopaedic theatre, dedicated ICU, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory, giving you everything you need to provide gold-standard care. Every day brings something new, from nurse consults and inpatient care to anaesthesia and theatre work, offering true variety and the chance to build on your clinical expertise.

You’ll be working alongside a passionate and skilled team, including certificate-holding vets, experienced RVNs, and a supportive Head Nurse who values development and teamwork. Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to patients, clients, and the team.
• Support surgeries and procedures, completing all pre- and post-procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse-led appointments and schedule activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care if relevant.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and coordinate the team for effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experience working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience supporting nurse consults, understanding their contribution to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experience using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of colleagues.
