Registered Veterinary Nurse (Dental-Focused) - Village Vet Whittlesford

Location: Station Road, Whittlesford, Cambridge CB22 4PA
Hours: Full-time, flexible rota (average 42 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive Tier 1 Banding (starting salary depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a keen interest in dentistry looking for a flexible and rewarding role within a supportive and forward-thinking team?

At Village Vet Whittlesford, we’re proud to offer a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who is passionate about advancing their dental skills, working alongside a highly experienced vet with a special interest in dentistry, and contributing to the development of best practices in small animal dental care.

Located close to the M11 and within easy reach of Whittlesford on station road, our practice offers convenience, a friendly environment, and access to Milton 24-hour hospital for further support and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and assist with dental procedures, including dental radiography, mouth charting, scaling, and polishing
  • Confidently monitor and manage general anaesthesia across a range of procedures
  • Support the wider clinical team with theatre work and patient care
  • Take an active role in developing the dental department, including ordering and stock control for dentistry
  • Provide internal training to other nurses in Schedule 3 dentistry and best practice dental care
  • Work flexibly across local Village Vet practices when required (a few times per month) to provide cover and support
  • Collaborate closely with a vet who will provide ongoing mentorship and dental training
