Medivet Whittlesey is looking for a friendly and motivated RVN to join our supportive team in our recently refurbished, spacious practice.

You’ll be working in a bright, modern environment with on-site parking, a comfortable staff room and a lovely garden for breaks. You’ll be supported by an experienced and welcoming team who are committed to providing high standards of care.

This is a full-time role with a 1:6 weekend rota, no out-of-hours and no on-call, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Whittlesey is just 6 miles from Peterborough, with easy access to the West Norfolk coast and direct train links to London in around an hour.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.

  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.

  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.

  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.

  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.

  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.

  • Dispense and check medication.

  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.

  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.

  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.

  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.

  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.

  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
