Job description

Join our friendly two-vet practice in Stansted Abbotts as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, supported by an experienced Branch Partner, HVN, RVN, two VCAs, an SVN and a CCA.

We’re a well-equipped, community-focused clinic with excellent facilities including ultrasound, endoscopy, digital X-ray, in-house lab, tonometry and a corneal burr.

We offer a 4-day week, 9.5-hour shifts (08:30–18:30 / 09:30–19:30), a fixed weekday off, and 1 in 6 weekends at our Enfield 24 hospital. The role provides varied caseloads, strong diagnostic opportunities, and great support from a skilled, welcoming team.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
