Job description
Registered Veterinary Nurse at Falklands Vets - Up to £30,000 DOE

Established in 1989 Falklands Vets is a small but busy practice, with a loyal client base and varied caseload, including exotics. Set in the market town of Newbury and surrounded by the country\'s most beautiful countryside. The practice is a stones throw away from the town centre that boasts independent and high street shops and restaurants, charter and specialist markets, and first-class arts and cultural experiences.

We are searching for a RVN to join our passionate team at Falklands Vets on either a full or part time basis. The successful candidate will be working with a strong team of RVNs to carry our consultations, surgeries and Schedule 3 procedures in our busy practice.

The position is for 40 hours a week over 4 days with 1:8 weekends (on call until 7pm), but part time will also be considered. We are also open to a 2nd year or a newly qualified RVN.

Responsibilities
  • To work as an active member of the clinical support team.
  • To fully participate in the Nursing rota as directed by the Head Nurse.
  • To provide the highest standards of client service and patient care.
  • To ensure the timely and effective communication with all colleagues working in the Practice.
  • To provide assistance and support for the Veterinary Surgeons within the Practice environment.
  • To comply with all professional regulations, legislations and standards associated with independent accreditation such as the RCVS practice standards scheme.
  • To comply with CVS\'s H&S policies and attending relevant training as required.
