Job summary

Vets for Pets is seeking aRegistered Veterinary Nurse for our Quinton and Selly Oak teams. The role is part-time, 20–25 hours per week, and includes 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am to 2pm). We may consider full-time hours for the right candidate.

Our busy practice covers small animals with a supportive, friendly team. Newly qualified or experienced RVNs are welcome; you will use your nursing skills to admit patients, monitor anaesthetics, and assist with recovery and discharge, while delivering excellent

• Qualified RVN with good general nursing experience.
• Strong customer service skills and a cheerful, enthusiastic approach.
• Willing to work across two practices and Saturdays on a rota.

Job description

Are you a qualified RVN looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team working across our Quinton and Selly Oak team.

This is a Part-Time role working between 20 to 25 hours per week, including working 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am to 2pm) between Quinton Vets for Pets and Selly Oak Vets for Pets. Our teams move between the two practices. We are happy to consider full time hours for the right candidate.

About us:

We are a busy small animal practice with many insured pets and some exotics. We are based just on the outskirts of Edgbaston Birmingham. We do in house Orthopaedic surgery and complex soft tissue surgeries. We have a very mixed experienced team including a Vet who is a Certificate Holder in Soft Tissue Surgery and other vets working on other certificates which brings a varied case load.

We also have nurses who are currently completing certificates in Surgery and other areas as we encourage our nurses to fulfil their aspirations. We also work alongside some amazing student nurses.

About You:

If you are newly qualified or an experienced RVN we would love to hear from you! To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
