We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at New Malden Vets on afull-time basis.

New Malden Vets are a vibrant, community-focused practice with excellent transport links to Wimbledon, Kingston upon Thames, Central London, and even the coast - making us perfectly placed for both city life and weekend escapes. Our modern, well-equipped clinic features advanced diagnostic technology, including multiparameter monitors, digital X-ray, and dental X-ray, enabling us to provide the highest standard of care.

As proud holders of the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Gold Award, we are committed to delivering exceptional, feline-friendly care and fostering a cat-centric culture throughout our team. We strongly believe in continuous professional development and actively encourage our staff to share their expertise through regular team meetings and clinical clubs. At the heart of everything we do is our mission to provide gold‑standard care to every client and every pet who walks through our doors.

Our team is made up of 2 Clinical Directors, 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Animal Care assistant, and 6 fantastic Receptionists. We take pride in fostering a warm, inclusive, and genuinely supportive workplace where everyone feels like part of the family. Our annual open day is a highlight of the year, bringing together staff and the local community in celebration. We also enjoy regular social events, including a summer BBQ, a festive Christmas party, and a variety of team outings.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This role offers a diverse schedule, averaging 40 hours per week with rotating shifts, including 8 am-3 pm, 8 am-6 pm, 12 pm-8 pm, and 11 am-6 pm. Additionally, you'll be part of a 1-in-5 weekend rota (Saturdays 8 am-2 pm), with a well-deserved day off following your weekend shift.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to take on a diverse range of responsibilities, including consultations, pharmacy duties, inpatient care, anaesthetic monitoring, Stage 1 dentals, and imaging. With the support of our exceptional reception team, you'll spend minimal time on administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on what you do best - delivering outstanding care to our patients.
