Job description

Medivet Heacham is hiring for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join us in a sole charge role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive wider network while enjoying the independence. The role offers a great work-life balance with a set pattern of 8:30am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and a dedicated lunch break from 1pm–2pm when the practice is closed. You’ll also be part of a shared rota covering approximately 1 in 10 Saturday mornings at our Wisbech clinic (8:30am–2:30pm).

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
