Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Homefield Vets on a part-time basis. This role offers opportunities to work across two branches with a supportive team, and a clear focus on CPD and professional growth.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, support vets, run Nurse Clinics, monitor anaesthesia, and help drive clinical standards in a collaborative environment. You’ll be encouraged to pursue your interests through our Nurse Academy and Graduate programmes,

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Homefield Vets on a part‑time basis.

We are a two-branch clinic with a close-knit, supportive team culture. Homefield Road practice in Bury St Edmunds is a modern, purpose-built facility that opened in 2009. Hawkedon offers the charm of a peaceful village setting. Both sites are fully equipped to provide the highest standard of care for our clients and their pets.

Our experienced team of vets, nurses, and support staff bring a wide range of skills and interests, creating a collaborative environment where everyone supports one another in our busy clinics. This allows us to offer a broad range of expertise and specialisms across the practice.

Our nurses play a vital role within the team. They are given a high level of responsibility, with opportunities to fully utilize and develop their skills across all aspects of nursing.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

  • 34 hours per week across up to 4 days per week but we can be flexible
  • Monday to Friday working shifts between 8 am - 7 pm
  • 1:6 Saturdays between 8:30 am - 2 pm
