Registered Veterinary Nurse - City Vets

Location: City Vets Hospital (multi-site, based primarily at the main hospital)

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week (typically 8:00-18:00, 4 days per week, occasional 9:00-19:00)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (based on Tier 1 banding, pro-rata for 36-hour week)

City Vets is a busy, multi-site hospital with a dedicated and friendly team providing outstanding small animal and exotic care. With state-of-the-art facilities including CT, endoscopy, and an in-house lab, you’ll be supported to use and grow your skills every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent clinical nursing care across inpatient, surgical, and consultation areas
  • Confidently monitor and manage anaesthesia during a variety of procedures
  • Rotate between branches when needed (mainly hospital-based with occasional branch support)
  • Work closely with vets and fellow nurses to maintain high standards of patient care
  • Support with stock control, lab sample processing, and maintaining clinical standards
  • Participate in the on-call rota (approximately one per month, including 13 nights and 4 weekends per year)
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and proactive nursing culture
