East Grinstead Vets, part of IVC Evidensia, is seeking a motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the busy small animal practice in East Grinstead. The role is full-time (average 37.5 hours over 4 days) with no out-of-hours requirements, offering a balanced work‑life arrangement.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, support clinical standards, and contribute to patient care development alongside a collaborative team of vets and nurses.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside visiting specialists and be actively involved in an orthopaedic caseload, gaining hands-on experience in advanced procedures.
• From theatre and surgical nursing to delivering inpatient care, you’ll be at the heart of patient care every day.
• Run nurse consults and clinics, with laboratory work and building strong client relationships to improve patient outcomes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at East Grinstead Vets on a full-time basis.

We are a busy, small animal practice in beautiful East Grinstead with satellite branches in Crawley and Copthorne with good transport links to London and Brighton. We are lucky enough to have the Ashdown Forest on our doorstep providing a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views.

We have a varied caseload ranging from routine surgery to orthopaedics and are well equipped with an internal lab, multi-parameter, ultrasound, digital x-ray, K-Laser, and multiple endoscopes. We are a well-established training practice who encourage our nurses to train as Clinical Coaches to assist our student nurses in reaching their full potential.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This is a full-time role averaging 37.5 hours per week over 4 days, with no out-of-hours, giving you a genuine work/life balance. You'll be part of a 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota.

General Responsibilities Include

• Work alongside visiting specialists and be actively involved in an exciting orthopaedic caseload, gaining hands‑on experience in advanced procedures.
• From theatre and surgical nursing to delivering exceptional inpatient care, you’ll be at the heart of patient care every day.
• You will also get stuck into laboratory work and run your own nurse consults and clinics, building strong client relationships and making a real impact on patient outcomes.
