Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum D.O.E

Location: Moor Cottage Veterinary Practice, Berkshire

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, 1:4 Saturdays with time back the following week, no OOH or Bank Holidays.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly and supportive team here at Moor Cottage!

You should ideally have a minimum of one year's experience, be passionate about providing a high standard of veterinary care, and be looking to develop your nursing skill set.

Duties include monitoring of anaesthetics, schedule 3 procedures, nurse consults, hospital duties and general day to day practice.

We are looking for a self‑motivated team player who is confident working independently and thrives in an active environment. CPD is supported and encouraged to help you reach your full potential.

On top of this, you will have access to modular courses on a variety of topics including our AVA accredited anaesthesia and analgesia modular course.
  • We also have visiting orthopaedic and dermatologist vets enabling us to keep cases in‑house.

At Moor Cottage we have been serving the local community for more than 50 years by providing quality clinical care and services for small animals.

We are RCVS accredited with an excellent combination of staff training and hi‑tech equipment and facilities, which include a separate building dedicated to cats only, laparoscopy, endoscopy, dental suite with radiography and digital X‑rays.

In addition to cats, dogs and rabbits we also look after many other small mammals including guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, gerbils, chinchillas, tortoises and birds. We are proud to work at special charity rates with several local charities and organisations in Bracknell, Wokingham and the surrounding areas to help support the good work that they do. We also regularly visit local schools and nurseries to talk about the work of vets and vet nurses to the potential veterinary talent of the future!
