Barnsley Cortonwood Vets for Pets is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team in Barnsley. You’ll admit patients, monitor anaesthetics, support recovery and manage discharges in a modern, well-equipped practice with a supportive team.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic RVN with strong general nursing experience, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for animal welfare. The role is part-time across 3 days with a 1-in-4 Saturday rota and no out-of-hours work.

Barnsley Cortonwood Vets for Pets is an established in-store practice with a loyal client base and a diverse caseload, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your nursing skills and explore your own clinical interests.

Our patients benefit from a high standard of care, with the ability to fully investigate and manage cases in-house. We actively support professional development and are committed to helping our team achieve their goals, including funding certificates and providing opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge.

We have a fantastic relationship with Barnsley Hospital, giving us access to referral services and CT scanning facilities, allowing us to provide an even greater level of care for our patients.

Our modern, purpose-built practice is spacious, well-equipped, and designed to support gold-standard veterinary care. You’ll be joining a welcoming and collaborative team made up of one Vet, two Nurses, a Practice Manager, and three Client Care Advisors, all working together with a shared passion for putting pets and their owners at the centre of everything we do.

About the Role

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll have the opportunity to make full use of your nursing skills and play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, supporting recovery, and managing discharges.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic RVN with strong general nursing experience, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. You’ll be approachable, caring, and committed to providing an outstanding experience for both pets and clients.

The role:

• Part-time position working 31.87 hours per week across 3 days
