A nursing role where your skills make a difference
If you're an RVN who enjoys hands‑on nursing, values good clinical standards and wants to be part of a team where nurses play an important role in patient care, we'd love to introduce you to Cinque Ports Vets.
We’re an established, RCVS-accredited practice with four sites across Kent and East Sussex, offering a varied caseload, excellent clinical facilities and an experienced nursing team.
Our nurses are actively involved in patient care, nurse consultations, vaccinations and supporting surgical and medical cases. We want you to feel confident using your skills, sharing your knowledge and continuing to develop as a veterinary professional.
Our branches are much more than satellite consulting clinics. Each has its own specialisms, alongside the facilities to investigate cases and carry out surgical procedures.
At the heart of our practice is Kingsnorth, our RCVS-accredited Veterinary Hospital, which holds Gold ISFM Cat Friendly Accreditation. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency care, 365 days a year, with Vets Now onsite supporting continuity of care for patients.
Across our four sites, our facilities include digital radiography, dental X‑ray, ultrasound, Doppler ultrasonography, ECG, in‑house laboratories, endoscopy, video endoscopy and bronchoscopy.
For an RVN, this means working in a clinical environment with the equipment, colleagues and opportunities to make good use of your nursing knowledge.
You'll work closely with our veterinary surgeons, fellow RVNs and nursing leadership team to deliver high standards of patient care and a positive client experience.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their nursing, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative clinical team.
We recognise the value that skilled veterinary nurses bring to clinical practice.
You’ll be working alongside experienced RVNs who undertake nurse consultations and vaccinations, with opportunities to learn from colleagues and contribute your own ideas.
Professional development is encouraged through funded external CPD, in‑house learning and access to the extensive Linnaeus online CPD programme. As part of Linnaeus, you'll also have access to wider career progression opportunities.
The role averages 40.78 hours per week over a 9-week rota cycle, with a standard working pattern of 40 hours across five weekdays.
You’ll participate in a 2‑in‑9 weekend rota. One weekend shift is included in your contracted hours, while the second provides a day in lieu in line with practice policy.
Alongside a competitive salary and joining bonus, our benefits include:
We're looking for an RVN who cares about doing nursing well. Someone who enjoys the clinical side of the profession, values teamwork and wants to continue learning.
If you're looking for a practice with strong clinical facilities, experienced colleagues and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
