Priory Hospital Southampton is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join the Allied Health Professionals and Psychology department. The role is permanent and part-time, based at Priory Hospital Southampton, with a salary of £48,250 per year on a full-time equivalent basis.

Qualifications

• Essential for role: recognised postgraduate qualification in Psychology meeting HCPC registration requirements.
• Desirable: BPS membership; experience in mental health services, psychological assessments, evidence-based interventions and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to support patients’ mental health and recovery.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, person-centred care.
• Provide psychological formulations and contribute to risk assessments, care planning and clinical reviews.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare psychological reports.
• Support patients in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation and resilience.
• Contribute to clinical audits, service evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure practices align with ethical guidelines and best practice.
