Job summary

Care Fertility Bath is hiring a Registered Practitioner in Fertility Care (Nurse/Midwife) for full-time, permanent work. You will join a dedicated team to support patients through fertility treatment, with training and opportunities to expand your scope of practice.

Location: Care Fertility Bath, Bath Business Park, Peasedown St John. Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday, with potential cover at Bristol site. Salary £32,000–£35,700 depending on experience.

About The Role

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering exposure to clinic, ward and theatre environments. You will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their fertility treatment journey by providing both clinical and emotional care.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing information, advice and emotional support to patients undergoing fertility treatment.
• Coordinating treatment plans and guiding patients through their care pathway.
• Teaching patients how to safely self-administer fertility medications.
• Delivering care to patients before and after procedures.
• Undertaking patient assessments and pre-treatment consultations.
• Performing venepuncture and communicating blood results (training provided where required).

Assisting With Fertility Procedures Including

• Egg collections
• Embryo transfers
• Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
• HyCoSy procedures
• Preparing theatre and ward areas and maintaining emergency equipment, including the resuscitation trolley.

About You

You are a compassionate and patient-focused professional who thrives as part of a team and is committed to delivering outstanding care.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Adult Nurse or Midwife (Degree or Diploma qualified).
• Current NMC registration.
• Post-registration experience within an acute hospital setting.

Newly qualified nurses and midwives are encouraged to apply. We would be pleased to discuss your clinical experience and suitability for the role.

Desirable Experience

• Gynaecology or obstetrics.
• Theatre experience.
• Venepuncture.
• Ultrasound scanning.

Additional Cover: There will be a requirement to provide occasional cover at Care Fertility Bristol, Aztec Centre, Almondsbury, Bristol, BS32 4TD.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Part-time applications will also be considered.

Salary

£32,000 - £35,700 per annum, depending on experience.
