Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a registered pharmacy technician to join our well established dispensary team. The successful candidate will be based in the dispensary providing a quality pharmacy service to wards and community clinics across the Trust.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Assisting and deputising for the Dispensary Manager
  • Dispensing and final accuracy checking for inpatients and outpatients
  • Ensuring the team functions efficiently, coordinating workflow
  • Supervision and training on new and pre-registration staff
  • Assisting in overseeing stock control
  • Supporting audit and quality improvement initiatives

The department runs efficiently, working closely with the other senior pharmacy technicians within the department, the dispensary manager and lead ATOs.

Qualifications
  • Registered pharmacy technician
  • Post qualification experience at band 4 or above working in a hospital pharmacy
  • Experience in a mental health setting desirable but not essential
