We are seeking a Nursing Associate to join our Treatment Rooms Service. The successful candidate will have demonstrable clinical experience, a broad range of practical clinical skills, and the confidence to work autonomously within their scope of practice while contributing effectively to the wider multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The Nursing Associate will work as part of the Treatment Rooms multidisciplinary team, supporting the Registered Nurse in the assessment, planning, organisation and delivery of high-quality clinical care in line with service and patient needs.

The postholder will provide holistic, person-centred care to patients attending Treatment Rooms, undertaking a range of delegated clinical interventions within their scope of practice, including wound management, dressings, injections and other treatment room procedures following appropriate training and competency assessment.

Working under the leadership and direction of registered nurses, the Nursing Associate will contribute to all aspects of the nursing process, promoting patient health, wellbeing and self-management, while helping to ensure safe, effective and timely care delivery.

The postholder must recognise and work within the limits of their competence, maintaining their professional development and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care within the community setting.
