Job summary

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a bank theatre nurse to provide clinical and technical support within the operating theatre team, contributing to patient care in the pre-operative environment. Flexible shifts and fixed-term placements are available to suit your schedule.

You will ensure up-to-date nursing practice, complete NMC registration, and work to agreed standards of care, participating in patient assessments and upholding Codes of Professional Practice.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of current nursing practice.
• NMC registration is required and maintained.

This bank nurse post with NHS Professionals is for University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, a regional teaching hospital, and sits within its operating theatres. The work centres on clinical and technical support for the theatre team, contributing to the assessment of patient care needs and keeping to agreed standards in the pre-operative environment. Shifts are flexible, with fixed-term placements also offered. Fit depends on at least six months' paid theatre experience in the last three years and NMC registration.
