Job Title: Registered Nurse Team Leader
Salary: £22.55 per hour (£51,564.40 per annum)
Working Hours: 44 hours per week

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse Team Leader to join our team at National Neurological Services Limited – Ashbrook, based in the heart of Rochdale. At National Neurological Services we support people with Acquired Brain Injuries and Neurological conditions in their rehabilitation. Our aim is for individuals to be able to return home and enjoy their lives again. You will become an integral part of a core staff team consisting of Registered General Nurses, Rehabilitation Coaches, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Neurological Consultants, Neurological Psychologists and a Registered Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently demonstrate the Company values, leading by example and delivering safe, effective working practices.
  • Oversee the provision of high-quality person-centred clinical support and interventions for all people supported.
  • Identify priorities and manage resources effectively to ensure that the quality of care delivered is maintained and improved.
  • Conduct high quality assessments and prepare reports and present clinical updates both internally and externally.
  • Work in partnership with key professionals, ensuring all guidance is implemented and followed.
  • Active leadership of all colleagues within the clinical team to ensure delivery of high quality care and support.
  • Conduct induction, supervision, competency assessment and appraisals for the nursing/clinical team.
  • Accountability for accurate completion of audits including completion of resulting actions as required.
  • Take the lead role in the management of medication and clinical interventions ensuring practices are in line with company policies and other statutory guidance.
  • Ensure self and nurses adhere to the NMC Code of Practice at all times.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager as required and undertake any other duties that might be consistent with your role.
Ideal Candidate
  • Registered Nurse band 6 or above with an active PIN.
  • Extensive experience working in care settings in capacity of nurse or clinical nurse lead.
  • Knowledge and experience of PEG, tracheotomy etc.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the principles of high-quality person-centred care and support and non-discriminatory care practice.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities under the NMC codes of practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships with people, families and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively.
  • Excellent administrative skills and computer literacy.
  • Experience of managing and developing an effective staff team.
  • Maintain clear written and electronic records and follow statutory reporting procedures.
