As a Registered Nurse (RN) placed by GL Care, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, coordinating healthcare services, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team. Your primary goal is to ensure the highest quality of care is given to residents in nursing homes. This role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passionate commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor patients\' health status, documenting vital signs and notable changes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Coordinate and provide wound care, as well as other specialized nursing procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between residents, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Advocate for the residents’ needs and preferences in care planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Regularly review and adjust care plans based on residents\' progress and changing needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
  • Educate residents and their families about health conditions and care plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to nursing assistants and support staff as needed.
  • Assess and respond effectively to medical emergencies as needed.
  • Engage in continuous education to stay current on best practices and innovations in healthcare.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance resident care and safety.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
