Job summary

The Saxon Clinic, Milton Keynes, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Pre-Assessment team on a bank basis. You will supplement staffing during busy periods and cover for annual leave or illness, delivering nursing care according to care plans and protocols.

Applicants should hold an adult nursing registration with the NMC, have clinical healthcare experience, and be able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records and care planning.
• Experience in relevant specialties (surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and escalate appropriately using clinical judgement.
• Administer medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Ensure that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in thePre-Assessmentdepartment.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:
