Job summary

The Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre Assessment on a bank basis. You will cover bank shifts and support pre-assessment activities at the clinic.

The role involves delivering direct nursing care, assessing patients, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care. Prior experience and valid NMC registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.
• Carrying out face-to-face or telephone pre-assessment clinics

Salary: Up to £18.50 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in thePre Assessment department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
