A healthcare provider in Launceston seeks Registered Nurses for diverse clinical roles, including medical, surgical, and specialty areas. Nurses within the LGH Pool work across medical, surgical and specialty areas including paediatrics, neonatal nursery, maternity, ICU, ED and outpatient services. Support is provided to Pool Nurses by the Nursing Pool Leadership Team to assist them in developing their knowledge and skills in clinical areas. The Pool Leadership Team work closely with the ward Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators and nursing staff in clinical areas to orientate, educate and guide Pool staff. Pool nursing is a great way to gain experience in new areas and a valuable way for experienced nurses to progress their career.
The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is a 340‑bed hospital and is the major referral hospital for the North and Northwest regions of the State. The hospital provides emergency and acute care, specialist services, inpatient and ambulatory care.

The Registered Nurse strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

Multiple permanent, full time and part time, shift‑worker (fully rotational) positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing at your earliest convenience.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
$75,902 to $102,908 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455‑$105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
