Job summary

Mountain Healthcare Ltd is seeking a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional to deliver high-quality care to detainees in police custody. The role combines clinical practice with safeguarding and forensic healthcare, operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment where no two shifts are the same.

Requirements include NMC or HCPC registration, a full UK driving licence, and at least three years' post-qualification experience in acute or custody settings.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration, or Paramedic with current HCPC registration.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points.
• Ability to complete enhanced DBS clearance and police vetting.
• Full right to work in the UK and a minimum of three years' UK residency prior to application.
• At least three years' post-qualification experience in an acute or relevant setting, such as front-line ambulance, A&E, prison, custody or urgent care.
• Willingness to complete externally accredited forensic training within the first year of employment.

About the Role

As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will deliver high-quality healthcare to people detained in police custody, many of whom have complex physical health, mental health, substance misuse or safeguarding needs. Working autonomously in a fast-paced environment, you will assess, treat and support detainees while ensuring their safety and well-being. This unique role combines clinical practice, safeguarding and forensic healthcare. No two shifts are the same.

Working pattern and location

Full-time employees are contracted to 42 hours per week. The main place of work will be Maidenhead Custody Suite.
