Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is opening Lepton Heights in Huddersfield and recruiting a Registered Nurse for night shifts. This full-time role (42 hours/week) offers a competitive £22.75 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to a brand-new home opening in February 2025.

You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team and have access to development pathways. You must hold an NMC PIN and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• First-level nursing registration with NMC PIN.
• Experience in adult care nursing desirable.
• Able to work nights and maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and provide person-centred nursing care for residents.
• Safely administer medications as prescribed.
• Promote health, wellbeing and independence for residents.
• Act as Nurse in Charge on shift for a small unit.
• Manage behaviours of concern with ensure safety and dignity.
• Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect.

Lepton Heights is part of Exemplar Health Care, one of the country’s leading nursing care providers.

Lepton Heights is due to open in February 2025, the home will support adults living with complex mental health conditions, dementia, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.

The home will feature 40 en-suite bedrooms and three single occupancy apartments, across four units.

Our multi-disciplinary team, including Health Care Assistants, Registered Nurses, Life Skills Facilitators, a Physiotherapist and an Occupational Therapist, will provide personalised care tailored to each individual.

About the role

This is a highly skilled nursing role where you’ll be accountable and responsible for supporting people’s holistic needs. It requires a range of clinical and nursing skills.

You’ll provide the highest standards of nursing care for adults living with complex care and health needs. Our care focuses on maximising independence and building everyday living skills.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• assessing, planning and providing person-centred nursing care for the people we support
• the safe administration of medication
• promoting health and wellbeing
• being the Nurse in Charge of a small unit whilst on shift
• managing situations when people display behaviours of concern
• promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect.
