Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Nurse for Barnet Grange Care Home in Barnet. You will act as person in charge when required, ensuring high standards of care for residents and supporting the care team.

You will undertake nursing tasks including medication distribution, wound care, catheterisation, and chronic condition management, while liaising with families and GPs and contributing to care planning and continuous improvement. This role is full-time and site-based in Barnet.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate a minimum 2years’ experience and up to date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualification.
• Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstratecare activities.
• Have Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge when required and stand in for the Manager.
• Distribute medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and manage chronic conditions.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in condition and keep them informed.
• Supervise the care team to ensure tasks are completed during duty periods.
• Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and planning.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as aRegistered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
