Bupa UK is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Medical Ward at Cromwell Hospital in London. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week with 12-hour day and night shifts, offering a earned salary up to £46,890 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.
• ILS qualification required.
• Nursing experience in a Medical Ward within an acute hospital.
• Competent with wound care, venepuncture and cannulation.
• Tracheostomy tube care and management experience.
• Indwelling urinary catheterisation and nasogastric tube insertion.
• Experience in risk assessment.
• Immunisation training, wound care management and venepuncture.
• Outpatients experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for patients.
• Participate in the delivery of a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the patient journey whilst demonstrating a culture of customer service.
• Manage care of allocated patients.
• Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.
• Act as a clinical role model for all staff, driving high standards of care.
• Recognise safeguarding requirements and escalate as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest and fire.
• Ensure safe storage and administration of medications per policies and standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with Consultants and adhere to their protocols.
• Act as a Link Nurse in a designated area and participate in meetings/trainings.
