Job summary

The Horder Centre in Crowborough is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Inpatient Ward Bank team. You will deliver safe, high-quality care from admission to recovery, collaborating with consultants, therapists and fellow nurses.

We value clinical excellence, kindness and teamwork. You’ll take part in audits and service improvements, support junior staff, and participate in out-of-hours shifts, with enhanced pay for evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration and a UK-recognised nursing qualification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience in acute surgical settings is essential; orthopaedic experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care on the inpatient ward
• Support junior nurses and new starters to help them thrive

• Assist with emergencies and out-of-hours duty nurse cover

What you’ll be doing

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll be at the heart of the patient experience. From admission through to recovery, you’ll deliver safe, high‑quality, individualised care while working closely with consultants, therapists and fellow nurses to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Your role will be varied, rewarding and impactful, including:

• Providing outstanding nursing care using a holistic, patient‑centred approach
• Supporting and guiding junior nurses and new starters, helping them thrive
• Taking part in audits, research and service improvement initiatives
• Playing an active role in emergencies and out‑of‑hours duty nurse cover
• Ensuring the highest standards of infection control, safeguarding and professional practice
