A regional healthcare provider in York is seeking a Band 5 nurse to join their dynamic team. The role requires surgical experience and involves providing high-quality nursing care, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring compliance with health standards. The East Coast Day Surgery Team cover elective day surgery on Haldane and Lloyd wards, and are closely affiliated with the preoperative assessment team, often supporting in all areas to ensure our elective surgical patients have a smooth transition through their elective surgical journey.
The East Coast Day Surgery team are moving forward to also assist with benign non-surgical urological treatments on both the Scarborough and Bridlington sites. This is an exciting move which will broaden the skill set of the day unit, provide east coast capacity for patients and also bring the team in line with our York Day surgery colleagues.
We offer a Monday to Friday day time only service, meaning an excellent work/life balance for our team members. With the opportunity to partake in Waiting list Initiatives on limited weekends, which are paid additionally.
Due to this expansion of services we are looking to recruit a Band 5 nurse to join our dynamic and versatile team. It is essential that the successful candidate has surgical experience as confident decision making, with support from Band 6’s, is vital in this nurse led environment.
