A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ENT Outpatients Department. This role involves working with specialist equipment and supporting patient care. The candidate should have a passion for personal development and mentoring junior staff. Benefits include flexible working hours, excellent pension schemes, and career development support.
A Vacancy at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Are you a Registered Nurse looking for personal and professional development in an evolving outpatient department? An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital as a Registered Nurse, as a part of our highly experienced and established team in the ENT Outpatients Department.
Based in Outpatients West at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital on our modern, purpose-built site, this exciting opportunity is much more involved than you might expect from an outpatient’s role.
The successful candidate will work within all aspects of the ENT Department including the use of highly specialist equipment. You will also be given the opportunity to assist in Transnasal Oesophagoscopy and other procedures, which are carried out in the clinic environment.
There is the opportunity for nurse-led enhanced practice to provide aural care for patients with ear problems, giving you a great opportunity for personal development. Although previous aural care experience would be advantageous, it is not essential, as specialist in-house training will be provided.
Our department is also evolving to develop further nurse led roles in addition to already running post-operative follow-up checks for bone-conducting hearing-aid patients and nasal patients.
You will be joining a small and friendly team and will be given plenty of mentoring and support from experienced team members.
The successful candidate will be expected to work their hours over 4 days a week, Monday to Saturday. This will be discussed further at the interview.
With Norwich recently being named one of the Sunday Times ‘best places to live in 2021’ you will have plenty of opportunity to take advantage of our eclectic mix of independent shops, bars and restaurants as well as the wide-open countryside of idyllic Norfolk.
To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH’s ‘PRIDE’ values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
Full details of the role are attached in the original job description.
