Job summary

Harbour Healthcare invites applications for a Registered Nurse - Days at The Granby Care Home, Harrogate. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of £23.64 per hour for day shifts.

You will assess care needs, administer medicines, and work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high standards of resident care in a supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with current practice
• Experience in direct patient care in a care home or hospital setting
• Ability to administer prescribed medicines per policy and guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assess all aspects of client care needs and provide health supervision and direct nursing care.
• Assess social and health care needs of new clients and maintain ongoing assessment and review of all clients.
• Ensure care plans are completed and maintained with clients, relatives and other health care professionals in line with NMC guidelines.
• Administer prescribed medicines and document according to company policy and NMC guidelines.
• Supervise and instruct junior staff in all aspects of care home operations.
• Attend mandatory training days/courses on or off site as required.
• Establish and maintain good communication with clients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.

Job Purpose

• Assess all aspects of client's care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required.
• Assess social and health care needs of new clients and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Clients.
• Ensure that Client care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with Clients, Relatives and other Health Care Professionals, and in accordance with NMC guidelines and company policy.
• Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the company's procedure and NMC guidelines.
• Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Clients personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship which exists clients.
• Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, giving help and guidance where appropriate.
• Attend mandatory training days/courses on or off site when required.
• Establish and maintain good communication with clients, relatives and with the multidisciplinary team. Provide administrative support when required.
