Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Band 5 LD (Learning Disability), Mental Health, or Children’s Nurse to join our friendly team at Sunshine House short break care. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver person-centred care and support to children and young people in a safe, stimulating setting. Sunshine House short break care is a nurturing and supportive environment committed to providing high-quality care for children and young people with complex health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of nursing care and support tailored to each resident.
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions as required, ensuring that all healthcare interventions are carried out safely and effectively.
  • Contribute to care planning, participate in risk assessments, and uphold safeguarding procedures to protect those in your care.
  • Provide emotional support to children, young people, and their families, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere in line with the values of CHCP.
Qualifications
  • Band 5 registration with demonstrable experience working with children and young people who have complex health needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient nature.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
