Job summary

Birchlands Care seeks a qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to lead and support our care team at Birchlands Care Home in Haxby. This BANK role offers meaningful nursing in a long-term care setting with comprehensive training and ongoing development.

You’ll provide high quality nursing care, perform clinical assessments, liaise with GPs and care teams, and ensure accurate records. PCS and electronic care planning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid RGN NMC Registration.
• Minimum 1 year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Understanding of CQC standards/ legislation.
• Strong leadership, highly clinically skilled and well organised.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with PCS and electronic care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality nursing care to residents.
• Clinical assessment of residents, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Promote rights and needs of carers and people with dementia.
• Liaise with GPs, case managers and care teams.
• Communicate decisions clearly within the multi‑professional team.
• Maintain clinical records and provide feedback to carers and teams.
• Utilise IT systems to secure accurate resident and resource data.
• Integrate current knowledge of dementia into practice.
