Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Hub Registered Nurse Associate to join our Substance recovery Team at West Midlands Regional Hub Office based at HMP Oakwood Visitors Centre. As a Registered Nurse Associate you will provide high-quality, person-centred care across three sites: HMP Oakwood, HMP Featherstone and HMP Brinsford. You will demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting individuals with substance misuse needs and a willingness to develop your knowledge and skills in this area. Previous experience in substance misuse or addiction services would be an advantage, but a strong commitment to learning and professional development is equally valued.

Hours
  • Monday - Friday
  • 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days
Salary

This position is full time. Annual salary of £32,375.00 per annum FTE, pro‑rota at £25,900.00.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outstanding care to patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, well‑being and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
  • Deliver non‑judgemental care involving health promotion clinics, observations, and support to nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
  • Forge strong links within our teams, partners and stakeholders to provide a trustworthy, safe and proud service.
  • Promote best practice, evidence‑based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning. Promote patient well‑being through our overarching Well‑being Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required
