A modern healthcare facility in Rotherham seeks a registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across clinical pathways. Responsibilities include supporting surgical care, patient advocacy, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting. Candidates must possess a Nursing degree and have at least two years of experience in a surgical ward, preferably in the private sector. This is a full-time position with a focus on compassionate care and safe practices.
We are seeking candidates to work on a bank basis with the view to a permanent contract. The position available is working days mainly Monday - Friday, with some weekends. As a registered Nurse you will be providing direct patient care throughout the patients clinical pathways of care, from outpatient assessments, through in hospital care and surgery, to their recovery and discharge home, with follow-up care as required. All nurses also rotate and conduct pre-assessments in line with the hospitals policy. The hospital provide a mix of day case surgery and short length of stay surgery, with Cosmetic Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and General Surgery. (Expansion to other specialities is anticipated).

Duties IncludeSupport the ward manager in implementation of an agreed plan of care with the patient and in accordancewith instructions and training received.Help promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient / relatives andcarers.Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinaryteam.Contribute to the legality and accuracy of the patients care plan/ and or other reports and the effectivenessof the established communication /reporting system over the full 24hrs.Participate in regular ward meetings and attend other meetings as requested.Undertake tasks and procedures, in which competency has been assessed and recorded specific to the careenvironment.Provide support and assistance to the ward manager.All team members are responsible for behaving in a manner that does not put themselves, patients, visitorsand other team members in danger or at risk in the clinical environment.Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the Nursing MidwiferyCouncil (NMC) Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).To take charge of the clinical area as required, ensuring effective operational management of clinical areaon a daily basis.Be an advocate for change, looking for ways to improve the value and effectiveness of care and servicesdelivered.Encouraging evidenced based clinical practice.Actively participate in customer satisfaction surveys and satisfaction action plans, leading by example tojunior members of the team.Compliance with KINVARA Policies and Procedures relevant to this role, ensuring you are fully aware ofyour responsibilities within these policies.Ensure effective communication channels are maintained across all areas of the hospital.To assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.To assist in the maintenance of ward cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policy andprocedures at all times.To assist the patient to ensure they have the opportunity to meet their individual dietary requirements.Ensuring all patients receive their chosen and correct meals.To receive and convey information from telephone or personal enquiries in a courteous manner and ensureall persons visiting the ward are greeted and assisted in a welcoming and supportive manner.To escort stable patients to and from all wards and departments within the hospital.To keep up to date with all mandatory training and revalidation
