Job summary

Minehead Nursing Home is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to lead and support our care team. You'll provide high-quality nursing care, contribute to clinical assessments and care planning, and help ensure excellent resident wellbeing in a compassionate, supportive environment.

You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing development to progress your career, with flexible hours (days, nights or bank contracts) and paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC Registration as an RGN/RMN.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Desirable prior experience in a similar care setting.
• Strong leadership, clinical skills, organisation and ability to lead.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with PCS and electronic care planning.
• Flexible rota availability to meet home needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to residents.
• Conduct clinical assessments and plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Promote residents' rights and needs, including dementia care planning.
• Liaise with GPs, case managers and health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate with carers and team.
• Utilise IT systems for resident, workforce and resource data.
• Integrate current dementia care knowledge into practice.

Hours: (Days, Nights or Bank contracts available) - Paid Breaks /36h per week

We're seeking a qualified registered nurse to lead and support our care team at the care home.

You'll receive comprehensive training to help you adjust to nursing in a care home setting and ongoing development to help you progress your career.

Who We're Looking For

• Valid RGN NMC Registration.
• Previous experience within a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
• A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
• A clear understanding of CQC standards/ legislation.
• Strong leader, highly clinically skilled, well organised, able to take the lead.
• Great written and verbal skills for communication and understanding.
• Previous experience of PCS and electronic care planning.
• Able to inspire, motivate and lead by example.
• Flexible approach to the rota to meet the needs of the home

By providing the highest quality of nursing care, you'll be helping to improve and sustain our residents' quality of life. Leading and supporting a care team, you’re:

• Provide high quality nursing care to our residents.
• Responsible for clinical assessment of residents, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated, involving residents and users.
• To promote the rights, interests, needs and choices of carers and people with dementia in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care and services.
• To liaise with GPs, case managers, primary health care practitioners, statutory and voluntary agencies, supporting our residents.
• Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to residents/carers and the multi-professional team including situations where difficulties in comprehension occur.
• To maintain clinical records and provide verbal and written feedback appropriately and as required, to carers, and persons with dementia as appropriate, and referring agencies and professional colleagues.
• Utilise and ensure others utilise information and IT systems to secure accurate and timely resident, workforce and resource data.
• To integrate into practice current knowledge of dementia and caring, informed by research and other forms of evidence.
