Job summary

La Fontana Care Home in Martock is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to join our clinical team on a full-time contract. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care, lead shifts, and work closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals.

The role includes working alternate weekends and ongoing professional development. The home offers funded development, opportunities for progression to senior roles, and a supportive, well-led environment with DBS, pension and uniform

Job description

La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home is nestled on the outskirts of Martock, surrounded by the stunning Somerset countryside. This innovative, purpose-built home provides specialist Dementia and Nursing care for up to 76 residents.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £23.92 per hour
• Contracted to 36 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
