Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a nurse for Ward 30, a 19-bed unit caring for patients across Gynaecology, General Surgery, Urology and ENT. An Early Pregnancy Clinic operates from the ward.

Induction and training are provided; prior critical care experience is not essential. The Trust emphasizes compassionate, open and excellence-driven care, offering development opportunities and strong support from recruitment through to integration.

Qualifications

• Current NMC Registration is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Some surgical knowledge or critical care experience would be preferable.

Job description

Ward 30 is a 19 bed single room ward, we care for patients under the specialities of Gynaecology, General Surgery, Urology and ENT. We also have an Early Pregnancy Clinic based on the ward.

Role requirements:

• Current NMC Registration
• Excellent Communication skills
• Some surgical knowledge / critical care experience would be preferable.
• Able to manage your own workload.

Induction and training will be provided so experience in critical care is not essential.
