Job summary

Band 5 Staff Nurse – Mother and Baby Unit

Seren Lodge Mother and Baby Unit, located on the Countess of Chester Health Park, will open in December 2025. The unit will be an 8‑bedded inpatient facility for women with mental health problems during pregnancy and/or the post‑natal period, with patients having their babies with them during their stay.

Shift pattern: rotational, including day and night shifts.

Training and development: an excellent training programme and a preceptorship programme will be provided.

Short‑listing on 15 December and interview on 7 January 2026. The advert closes on Wednesday 3 Dec 2025.

All new starters will commence on a fixed start date each month in line with the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme, which offers up to three weeks of training to support the induction and initial training requirements of the role.
