Job summary

Anchor Point Neurological Centre and Inspire Neurocare within Care Concern Group seek an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to deliver specialist nursing care for adults with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries. You will assess, plan, implement and review care, administer meds, and support rehabilitation alongside therapy and nursing colleagues.

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
• At least 1 year's post-registration experience in a care, nursing, neurological or similar setting.
• Experience supporting people with complex health, mental health or neurological needs.
• Knowledge or experience of cognitive, behavioural or physical rehabilitation approaches.

Job description

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will provide specialist nursing care to adults living with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries, supporting their physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing. You will provide holistic, evidence-based care while building meaningful relationships with the people you support and their families. You will complete assessments, develop and review personalised care plans, administer medication and treatments safely, maintain accurate clinical records and respond appropriately to changes in health and presentation. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support rehabilitation and promote independence, helping each person work towards their individual goals. You will also contribute to safeguarding, infection prevention and control, health and safety and the delivery of high standards of clinical care. Depending on the service, you will support people experiencing cognitive, behavioural, psychological or communication difficulties associated with neurological conditions or acquired brain injury. You will work alongside nursing, therapy and rehabilitation colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred support.

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
• At least 1 year's post-registration experience in a care, nursing, neurological or similar setting
• Experience supporting people with complex health, mental health or neurological needs
• Knowledge or experience of cognitive, behavioural or physical rehabilitation approaches
• Strong clinical judgement and the ability to recognise changes in a person's presentation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• A compassionate, patient and professional approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A genuine interest in neurological care and supporting people to achieve greater independence and quality of life

Supporting adults with complex neurological conditions and injuries, the centre provides personalised rehabilitation and long-term neurological care focused on promoting independence and quality of life.   £54,960.72 per annum
