Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to work on an agency basis for an NHS Mental Health hospital based within Bradford, which offers a range of specialist services to support individuals with acute and complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will be able to choose their own shift pattern, enabling a healthy work‑life balance.

Shift Details

SHIFTS: Available Monday to Sunday.

SHIFT PATTERNS: Long Days (Apply online only), Nights: 19.30-08.00.

Skill Requirements
  • Previous NHS experience essential.
  • At least one year of experience working within a similar role.
Specialisms
  • Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for adults (18+) detained under the Mental Health Act.
  • Acute inpatient support for females aged 18–65 experiencing mental health crisis.
  • Dedicated acute inpatient care for males aged 18–65 with mental illness.
  • 24‑hour care supporting individuals with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
  • Low Secure Services for men.
The Role
  • Provide a high standard of care to individuals (adults) with mental illness.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement.
  • Contribute to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Follow all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice.
The Person
  • NMC‑registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Minimum 12 months post-registration experience within the UK.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of acute mental health conditions.
  • Passionate about delivering person‑centred care in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Team‑focused with excellent communication skills.
