About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic RNLD to lead the setup and growth of a new Supported Living and Complex Care service from inception. You will be at the forefront of shaping clinical practice, building teams, and ensuring the service achieves outstanding outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities and complex health needs.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys start-up environments, brings fresh ideas, and is confident establishing strong professional relationships across health and social care systems.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading the full setup and CQC registration of a brand-new service.
  • Designing clinical pathways, governance frameworks, and policies aligned with best practice.
  • Building and developing a high-performing team dedicated to person-centred care.
  • Working collaboratively with ICBs, commissioners, and Local Authorities to secure and onboard care packages.
  • Driving service growth across new regions and shaping long-term strategic direction.
  • Ensuring high-quality delivery of regulated activities, safeguarding, and clinical excellence.
  • Presenting a business and service growth plan as part of the interview process.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • Registered Nurse (RNLD) with active NMC PIN.
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or complex needs.
  • Proven background in service setup, mobilisation, or working within start-up environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, quality governance, and compliance.
  • Confident leader with the ability to inspire, recruit, and develop teams.
  • Established professional networks across commissioning bodies (ICBs, Local Authorities).
  • Innovative, strategic thinker with excellent business and operational acumen.
Desirable
  • Experience of delivering Outstanding outcomes in regulated services.
  • Project management or multi-site service development experience.
  • Exposure to supported living, community nursing, or nurse-led models of care.
