Role and Responsibilities
Your role and responsibilities as Registered Manager: This role will be best suited to an experienced Registered Manager who enjoys mentoring others and takes a considerate and progressive approach to leadership. You will be able to create a family environment for young people in line with our therapeutic parenting ethos, which encourages development through a warm and nurturing approach. With the full support of our experienced senior management team, care professionals, and in‑house psychology team, you will oversee all aspects of the home’s operation and promote the development of a high‑quality, stimulating, and educationally rich environment in which children and young people can thrive.
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification (England) or Qualified to SCQF Level 7 / HNC (Scotland) or Level 3 Residential Childcare.
- Two years of experience within the past five years working in children’s residential care.
- One year’s experience within the past five years leading or supervising employees in a care home environment.
- Excellent leadership and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to attain your Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10 (Scotland) or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England).
- Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to safeguarding our children and young people.
- Exceptional knowledge of safer recruitment practices.
- Proficient IT skills and experience in using Microsoft packages.
- A full, valid UK driver’s licence.
Desirable Qualities
- Qualified or working towards Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10 (Scotland) or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England).
- Knowledge of Therapeutic Parenting.
Salary and Benefits
- Your starting salary is between £44,982.00 to £50,605.00 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience, qualifications, and training.
- Your working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility can be considered.
- You will receive a 10 % discretionary bonus per annum.
- £5 000 joining bonus, payable in three instalments.
- 33 days of annual leave per annum.
