Care Frist Recruitment is partnering with a reputable children s services provider, on the look for an exceptional Registered Manager to manage the home in order to transform the lives of children and young people who have experienced trauma or emotional and behavioural challenges. This lovely 3-bed children s home is offering a warm, therapeutic environment where every young person feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and forward-thinking Registered Manager to lead this new home through Ofsted registration and set the foundations for excellence from day one.

Your Role as Registered Manager

You will play a key role in leading the home to deliver safe, nurturing, and enriching care for children aged 8 17 with EBD needs.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Compliance
  • Lead the home through Ofsted registration (application in progress).
  • Manage the home in line with legislation, policies, and the Statement of Purpose.
  • Aim for and maintain a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.
  • Ensure full compliance with Children s Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding legislation.
Children & Young People
  • Safeguard and promote the wellbeing, development, and aspirations of every child.
  • Foster a therapeutic environment where emotional, behavioural, and educational needs are met.
Team Management
  • Recruit, induct, supervise, and inspire a skilled staff team.
  • Promote a positive, trauma-informed culture that supports both staff and young people.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, education, health, and emotional support.
  • Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies.
  • Implement all inspection recommendations within required timescales.
  • Produce high-quality written reports for reviews, inspections, and management meetings.
What You ll Bring
  • Minimum 2 years experience in children s residential care
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People s Workforce Essential
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare Essential or working towards
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy meeting Ofsted requirements
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care
